It’s worth a post to itself but is it going to be any more effective than companies whose business model places them inside shopping malls? Who really gets the better foot traffic?
This is Deja Vu all over again. back in the early to mid 90’s Sears had Coldwell Banker offices in the tool section near the popcorn stand, so the kid could have a food fight while Mom amd Dad talked house while knoshing on popocorn. The Allstate guy and the Dean Witter guys were there as well. As I recall, the CB and the Allstate guys did great and the Dean Witte guys built up huge IRA portfolios every spring.Remember, Jonathan, this the Crafstman tools era, not the shiny Chinee lead paint hand tool era. There was a whole lot of brand synergy and competence in the store.
I remember those days too … I’m going to try and go deeper into this tomorrow.
