Pre-St. Patrick’s Day Sneak Peek
Posted on March 16th, 2010 by Jonathan Dalton
Market statistics are almost done. There was a bit of a delay caused by children on spring break wanting to spend a little time basking in the sun on this 83-degree day in Phoenix.
Granted we ended up inside a movie theater watching Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief rather than joining the crowd at the Peoria Sports Complex or at another of the area’s spring training ballparks, but that’s another story for another time.
And now that I think about it, it’s not just the kids and the baseball fans at spring training who are doing all the basking …
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until tomorrow but as a public service announcement, here’s a little bit of green as worn by the casitas in Westbrook Village’s Fairway Ridge.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should take a few steps back from the fence along the 16th hole of the Westbrook Village Lakes course …

That’s a little bit better, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning or perhaps a (virgin) margarita in the afternoon (keeping it clean for the kids, even if they can’t live here.)
Still, maybe we ought to back up a little more, through the house to the front walk …

Not bad, I must say … let’s see how it looks a little further back, just before you get to the casita’s entry gate …

Wait … are these not the views you’ve been enjoying for the past few months? Have you found yourself instead shoveling snow, icing sidewalks and layering your clothes?
There’s a solution, of course. Find your flip-flops and your shorts, then come find this remodeled casita on the golf course in Westbrook Village. This is the way your winter should be.

List price is just $205,000 for nearly 1,500 square feet with the grass at your back …

Hi Jonathan,
Just wanted to say I think this type of blog entry is good, and that it works. It seems you sort of want to avoid this type of entry, and I agree if they were all this way it wouldn’t work as well. But to open folks eyes as to what values are out there, well this is really a good tool.
Just thought you’d appreciate one man’s opinion.
Jerry
Thanks, Jerry … there’s a line of thought that agents shouldn’t ever mention their listings on their blog. Like most advice from the new real estate blogging school, I don’t disagree. There’s a way to do it that’s not overly onerous, such as this.
And, at the end of the day, my job is to get this place sold.
