Are Fireworks Banned in Your City?

White tents have popped up all over the Valley with fireworks for sale but, in many places, you can’t actually fire off what you purchase.

From the Arizona Republic:

Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson have banned fireworks, and Maricopa County temporarily restricted open fires, consumer fireworks and other sources of ignition within unincorporated areas of the county because of the wildfires raging across the state.

Unincorporated areas would include places like New River, Sun City and Sun City West and county islands throughout Maricopa County. (There’s a fairly sizeable one not far from the Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale.)

Check the side chart for details from other municipalities; my own city allows them, so my kids may get to light the sparklers and ground-level snakes after all.

Be safe tomorrow!
