Bo Knows Social Media

avatarthumbnail.jpgTomorrow is the Arizona Regional MLS’ Technopalooza and I’m on the lunch hour panel to discuss how social media and how it fits into my business plan. Except that other than the blog thing, I don’t really actively use social media for business. Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows this already.

Social media to me is designed to be social. So that’s when I do, when I have time to get on there. A couple of weeks back Tobey started Tweeting because, well, everyone else in the world seems to be doing it. (Fun in the Coyotes press box, where the radio and TV guys allegedly were Twittering … synonyms for lackadaisical in less than 140 characters.)

Then comes news that Tobey, despite not updating for the past couple of weeks because I haven’t had time to log onto the computer, has a certain Portuguese water dog as a new follower.

Frankly, I think the job of “helping” the first dog update Twitter is cooler than any of the social media jobs secured by Mike Price, Todd Carpenter, Dustin Luther and the gang. I mean, how often do you get to do this:

You know what? Even if it’s not really Bo, I’m following just for that. That’s good stuff.

Let’s hope I can come up with something similarly entertaining for the lunch crowd at the Mesa Convention Center tomorrow afternoon.

From what I understand, the panel is lacking in one or two areas. Can Tobey come and play?

Nothing a hunting dog like Tobey likes more than sinking his teeth into some bunny rabbit …

I love dogs and I love our new President, but honestly there has been too much media coverage of the first dog. Has anyone else noticed that on the big stations recently?

It’s happy news, baby … they love that!

And Nick – careful what you wish for! 🙂
