As we churn through the 100-degree days of summer here in Phoenix, one common question buyers have is what the average electricity bill is going to be for a certain house?
Thanks to the folks at Arizona Public Service, which provides power to most of Glendale, Peoria and the Northwest Valley, an answer is a couple of clicks away.
Using APS’s website, would-be homebuyers need only enter a property address and you can see the average utility bill for the past 12 months rounded to within five dollars.
If you happen to be purchasing in one of the pockets in Peoria or Glendale (or nearly all of the East Valley) served by Salt River Project, unfortunately you’re back to depending on the seller to provide the information.
Incidentally, APS also provides homebuyers the opportunity to research energy efficient homes and homebuilders through another link on the site.
Have more questions? We’re only a click away ourselves …
