Got a real estate question? Get an answer, fast …

avatar.jpgWelcome to the latest fad striking real estate blogs across the nation – Meebo, a live chat object which allows agents to add real-time chat functionality to their sites.

Kevin Boer at Three Oceans described Meebo as creating virtual floor time – the equivalent of sitting in the office (usually with a good book) waiting for the phone to ring. It was this analogy that caused me to take the plunge. I spend a good chunk of my day in front of the computer anyway, and the chat provides another method for readers to make contact.

Some have tried live chat interfaces with little success while others swear by it. Given the excellent cost-to-risk ratio (read: free), it seemed worth adding to my sites.

Speaking of changes coming, within the next few days I’ll be flaunting conventional real estate blog wisdom and adding single-property WordPress pages for my current listings. Those who find such a move gauche are under no obligation to look at this pages. But at the end of the day, as enjoyable as blogging has proven to be, I’ve got homes to sell.

This is, after all, a real estate blog.

I’m getting tempted to try “The Meebo” myself.

Since I started blogging actual “floor time” is always time well spent reading everyone else’s blogs and clearing the RSS reader. I’m actually on floor right now. 🙂

As to showing homes in a real estate blog…. it’s crazy but it just might work!
