Happy Chanukah from Dalton’s Arizona Homes

Jonathan Dalton, Phoenix Real Estate AgentIt’s not Friday afternoon but we’ll post the video a few days earlier. I maintain there are only six Chanukah songs and Adam Sandler sings three of them. My rabbi insists there are dozens more but I’m not buying it. I mean, how many Chanukah songs has Neil Diamond recorded? Barbara Streisand? Any other Jewish singer whose name is escaping me?

Exactly. We have Mr. Sandler. That’ll do.

    Thanks, Thomas!

    School me please…

Why the difference in spellings between Chanukah and Hanukkah? Is it a regional / dialect thing, something in the translation from Hebrew, or am I completely off base? Is one spelling more “right” than another?

    I’ve always been curious…

    And Happy Chanukah!

With a C, one K. With an H, two Ks.

    Y? IDK.

My Catholic wife will probably know the answer, she seems to know more about the Jewish holidays than I do.

I do know that it is more difficult to pronounce the ch sound than the h sound but I never noticed the 2 k’s before.

So therefore I’ll wish you a Happy Hanukkah.

Thanks, Howard … I had the opposite with the first wife, who was Catholic. I knew as much or more about her than hers and she nothing about mine.

And Jonathan you’ll laugh at this one but a friend from Chicago just sent me an email spelled with 2 n’s.

There was also a long list of famous Jewish quotations including this priceless gem apparently by Golda Meir.

“Let me tell you something that we Israelis have against Moses. He took us 40 years through the desert in order to bring us to the one spot in the Middle East that has no oil!”
