This was the intersection of 67th Avenue and Greenway in Glendale about two hours ago.
According to the National Weather Service, we received about a quarter-inch of rain from the thunderstorms rolling through. Seems a touch low, honestly.
And this wasn’t the worst of it today … US 60 was closed in the East Valley where it intersects with Loop 101 because of flooding and more than 20 accidents.
Two takeaways …
1) Arizona’s can’t drive in the rain to save their souls
2) It’s one heck of a day to sit on the patio, watch the clouds and not leave the house until the deluge is over.

The view of the storms would be great from Optima Camelback … assuming you could make it to the parking garage without a snorkel.
