REBarCamp Phoenix is Five Days Away

REBarCamp Phoenix is this Thursday from 8:30ish to 5:30ish at Scottsdale Stadium … but what exactly is REBarCamp?

Let’s start with what it’s not …

REBarCamp is not an online community as some have said – this happens #IRL, sorry, In Real Life.

REBarCamp is not your father’s real estate conference. There are no scheduled speakers, no agenda pre-arranged by the event’s organizers, no products being pimped (Recommended, sure. Pimped, no.)

REBarCamp is not something you want to miss if you’re interested in Real Estate 2.0, social media marketing and the like.

So what is it exactly?

It’s a day-long “un”conference where the agenda is created organically by those in attendance. The focus tends toward the techy side – blogging, Twitter, Facebook, etc. – but past REBarCamps have included sessions on topics as varied to creating an online brokerage to real estate photography.

Is it a good idea to require registration for your website’s IDX feed? If I have my say, there’ll be a session on it discussing the pros and cons.
