Hundreds and more make their way to the Phoenix area each spring to watch one of the 15 teams getting ready for the season and all of these folks need places to stay. Some choose hotels; others, such as many of the folks here to watch teams from colder climes, come out for the month and choose seasonal rentals.
Whether for your on pleasure or for the opportunity to roll in some decent dollars during the high season as the owner of a vacation rental, there are properties abound that would meet your needs.
One reader challenged me last year to find homes near Maryvale Stadium in Phoenix, spring home of the Milwaukee Brewers (unless they have their way and move to Mesa with the Cubs.) Maryvale is a large development built in the 1970s and like many areas of that age, the homes are a mixed bag as far as upkeep go. It was in Maryvale, on the very first home I sold, that I saw a garage door being used as a patio cover. I suppose it seemed like a good idea at the time.
For purposes of this exercise, I thumbtacked Maryvale Stadium on a map and chose a 5-mile radius – 15 minutes of drive time to get to 51st Avenue and Indian School for the least expensive tickets and beer in the Cactus League. What follows are some of the homes I found.
If you want information on these or any other homes in the Phoenix area, help’s a click or a call away.[idx-listing mlsnumber=”4681685″ showextradetails=”true” showlocation=”true”] [idx-listing mlsnumber=”4684268″ showextradetails=”true” showlocation=”true”] [idx-listing mlsnumber=”4704782″ showextradetails=”true” showlocation=”true”] [idx-listing mlsnumber=”4704733″ showextradetails=”true” showlocation=”true”]
