The Return of Groundbeagle Day

This post originally appeared on Groundhogs Day two years ago. As the Joker once asked, “why so serious?” And he’s right. Time to lighten up the week a little bit.

Couldn’t help but notice on CNN that dear old Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today and is predicting six more weeks of winter.

With all due respect to the rodent, I think I’ll take a pass on that prediction. In fact, Captain Morgan ventured outside and saw his shadow today, which means we’ve got 16 days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training. No camera here, but the folks in Pennsylvania do appreciate everyone coming out to see their furry forecaster.

And even
though there was less hoopla, I thought I’d dress appropriately for the beagles as we all basked in the 70-degree weather …

Speaking of 70 degree weather and sunshine, here’s what you could have purchased in Avondale’s Crystal Gardens subdivision had you been my client …

Since my clients are reading this, I offer them congratulations (with their permission to post, incidentally.) And for everyone else, your place in the sun is waiting for you … all you need to do is send an e-mail and pick up the phone and we’ll find the right place for you. Groundhog shadow and six more weeks of winter not included.

As I posted on FB this morning, Since we haven’t had any winter this year (yeah) does it matter if the groundhog sees his shadow and we get 6 more weeks of the same.

Shocking, Shocking I say! Everyone knows that zonies wear long pants and sweaters when the temperature is below 80. You are nearly nekkid!
