What’s Good for the Goose

Jonathan Dalton, Phoenix Real Estate AgentOne other thought on today’s Republic article about this possibly being the right time to buy in San Diego (you know, now that I read more than the first three paragraphs.)

The article’s filled with quotes from folks who have lost money, on paper or otherwise, investing in downtown San Diego condos. Yet the conclusion is this is the right time to buy because of all of the “deals” in the form of foreclosed properties and short sales (shudder.)

If rising foreclosures and short sales (shudder) are the key determinant in when it’s “the right time to buy,” then shouldn’t the Republic also be reporting that this is the “right time” to buy Phoenix real estate?

Not saying it is, not for everyone. I’m just looking for a little consistency in reportage.

For the person who just couldn’t afford to buy in the past this might be the best time to get a home at a reduced price and interest rates are currently low. With the foreclosures and short sales leading the pack they might find these more attractive deals from a financial standpoint.

Are you kidding? Looking for consistancy
or accurate reporting from The Arizona
Repugnant? This will never happen. Yes,
much of Phoenix Real Estate, both commercial and residential, are at depression level losses, with several communities approaching ghost town proportions. The Repugnant does not acknowledge this, and would instead feature San Diego on Page One with adraconian insight. Zonies, of course,
delight in this because 90% of their waking thought, according to these newspapermen who watch the ad dollars
from real estate developers, is concerned with their home value. Some, to be sure, may be curious about Iraq, the election, or Britney.

Of course I want consistency, Steve. The Republic is the beacon of our community and purveyor of the truth.
